Sumy National Academic Theatre of Drama and Musical Comedy named after M.S. Shchepkin
The Sumy National Academic Theatre is a multidisciplinary cultural and artistic institution that successfully presents classical drama, comedy operetta, modern avant-garde, and various concert programmes. It is a full-fledged theatre with a clearly defined growth strategy. Successful development is based on the spirit of creative experimentation, continuous improvement of professional skills, application of modern styles and trends, and dialogue with the audience. The theatre staff is constantly looking for new ideas. In recent years, the Shchepkin stage has become a real creative laboratory not only for leading Ukrainian but also foreign directors. This approach is fully in line with the theatre's creative credo, as contemporary theatre should be ahead of the public's tastes, contribute to the formation of new aesthetic priorities, introducing the audience to the best achievements of national theatre.Municipal Institution "Konotop Children's Music School No. 2"

The main goal of the NGO 'Bereznivska Brama' is to represent and protect the rights and freedoms of women, to meet the social, in particular, economic, labour, political, cultural, educational interests of its members and other persons, to promote the principles of gender equality, and to improve the status of women in society. The NGO 'Bereznivska Brama' was founded in the summer of 2020 by a group of enterprising people who want to change the life of the community for the better. Currently, the organisation has 7 members (permanent) and about three dozen people (heads of individual organisations, educational institutions, businessmen) who are involved as needed. During this time, we have organised many projects to introduce our organisation to the community. In addition, for the same purpose, we created NGO pages on Facebook and Instagram, an information group of our community 'Bereznivska Brama' (with seven thousand subscribers) and a volunteer Telegram channel 'Berezne. Volunteer Movement' (about a thousand participants), which was founded on the day of Russia's full-scale invasion of our land. In 2020, the team of the NGO 'Bereznivska Brama' was awarded a diploma by the Bereznivskyi District State Administration and District Council, the Charitable Foundation 'Treasury of Hope', and in 2021 by the NGO 'Loyalty to Ukraine and the Oath'. In 2020, we signed a memorandum of cooperation with the Dubno Local Development Agency (Pryvilne community) and Avanti (Bereznovo community). We constantly cooperate with the Charitable Foundation 'I care' and the NGO 'Special Kinder' (Berezne). During 2021, the NGO 'Bereznivska Brama' was a partner of the Bereznivskyi Local History Museum in the implementation of the project 'Renovation of the exhibition and event space of the Bereznivskyi Local History Museum' from the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation. On 25 February 2022, in partnership with the Berezne City Hospital, daily first aid courses were launched, with more than 200 people attending. On the basis of the Christian Centre, we organised the production of camouflage nets (we are still working), and involved the community's educational institutions (about 15) in this process. During this period, more than 1,000 camouflage nets were made, and IDPs were also involved in the work. All good initiatives in the community were published on our information channels #UnitedByMarch. In addition, we organised the #First Aid Kit for the Armed Forces campaign on social media, which helped us raise and deliver over UAH 100,000 worth of medicines to our fellow Ukrainians. On the eve of the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the NGO's activists (7 volunteers) initiated the #TeplaPara campaign to collect warm socks for the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which helped to collect more than 2500 pieces. It is worth mentioning the importance of the #GiveTemperature campaign to make trench candles. We have lost count of the number of candles we made. I would like to note that we worked with the humanitarian needs of IDPs only until June 2022, after which the Charity Foundation 'I care' took over this function. We realised that it is important for people to communicate with local residents and integrate into the local community. So we started organising creative workshops for children, and engaging adults in volunteering and cultural initiatives in the community. Among them is the Necklace of Ukraine project, which features short stories of IDPs in a local newspaper and on social media. Between September and December 2022, the NGO CrimeaSOS implemented the Visible Ukrainians project as part of the initiative 'Strengthening IDP Communities in Western and Central Ukraine', where a thematic ethno-style photo shoot with short interviews of participants was organised for 14 IDPs. From October 2022 to April 2023, the NGO was involved in the implementation of the project 'Advocacy Support for Internally Displaced Women in the Western Regions of Ukraine' by the NGO 'Women's Perspectives Centre'. Since March 2023, we have been working in cooperation with the Rockada Charitable Foundation, where we have been organising art therapy activities for displaced children.NGO "People's Youth Theatre "ASKAL"
The People's Youth Theatre "ASKAL" was established in 2006 to promote contemporary Ukrainian art among the residents of the region. Since then, the organisation has created dozens of projects and organised hundreds of public events. It also built the only chamber theatre in Kremenchuk. Over the past year, the teams of the People's Youth Theatre "ASKAL" have been implementing mainly charitable projects aimed at uniting IDPs and community members through culture, namely - In 2022, the Cartoon Theatre for Children implemented a volunteer project for children aged 3-16, a series of charitable entertainment and educational events for IDP children and children of the Kremenchuk community, which aimed to comfort, psychologically relieve and distract children from the horrors of war. The events took place at the NGO's premises and at the Centre for Assistance to Internally Displaced Persons; - The MO Comedy Theatre staged four performances (Station, At Sea, Climbers, Striptease) in 2022-23 and performed several dozen performances for the audience aged 16+ from among IDPs and residents of the Kremenchuk community. The events take place at the premises of the NGO and serve as a kind of art therapy that psychologically relieves people. In addition, a series of trainings on vocational guidance for IDP adults was recently held on the basis of our NGO, organised in partnership with the NGO "Community Development of Kharkiv Region", which was created by active representatives of the newly arrived residents.NGO "People's Youth Theatre "ASKAL"
The People's Youth Theatre "ASKAL" was established in 2006. Since then, the organisation has become a real agent of change in the community: it has created several sustainable projects for different age groups, built the premises of the first independent theatre in Kremenchuk in the last 80 years, created an all-Ukrainian social and entertainment project for children that has been running for over 16 years, etc. Thus, the main tasks and activities of the Organisation are as follows are to popularise Ukrainian contemporary art among residents and guests of the region; organise meaningful leisure activities for citizens; organise exhibitions, festivals, create groups, studios, clubs for children and youth, and educate their artistic tastes; support socially important initiatives in the cultural and creative sphere, participate in charitable activities, etc.NGO "MYTH.ART"
The MYPH School of Conceptual and Art Photography was founded in 2018 by Serhiy Melnychenko in his hometown of Mykolaiv, but quickly gained notoriety throughout Ukraine. Nowadays, the school's students are artists from both the country and abroad. The institution aims to expand the circle of consciousness and understanding of contemporary conceptual and artistic photography among photographers. Thus, in theory and practice, online and offline, and even during the war in Ukraine, Serhiy and his guest lecturers share their diverse artistic and commercial experience with students. Over 5 years, more than 250 students have graduated from MYPH. For many of them, it was the first step in their creative careers. For others, it was the starting point for the inevitable changes in their approach to photography. But MYPH is not only education, but also a collective of photographers-alumni of the school, which today has more than 100 active authors. The main goal of working with the collective is to further help promote and popularise their work among galleries, specialised publications and collectors. Dozens of MYPH students exhibit and sell their work in galleries around the world. Many of their works are in prestigious private collections far beyond the borders of Ukraine. Group and solo exhibitions, art fairs and festivals, winners of international competitions and grants, mentions in popular photo books and magazines - this is just an incomplete list of the school's graduates' achievements. Since 2018, MYPH has organised and participated in more than thirty projects: exhibitions, festivals, fairs in Ukraine, Poland, Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Hungary, the Netherlands, the USA, and Norway.MY ART Platform (NGO ROOM)

The Ivan Franko National Literary and Memorial Museum in Lviv is one of Ukraine's most authoritative museums. Here, the spirit of Franko, a great experimenter of new artistic and scientific worlds, lives on in memorabilia, old books and artworks. Even today, Franko is a challenge for us - a challenge that encourages us to think, create, and search. The Franko Museum is not a house on the outskirts, but a place of power. It is a modern, creative and dynamic space for communication, learning and recreation. It is a place where life is in full swing, where ideas and images are born, where talented people of different professions communicate with each other, and where they come back here again after visiting the museum. It feels like home. After all, the Franko Museum is, first and foremost, Franko's home. A house of science. A house of music. A house of dialogue. A house of knowledge. Our organisation helps educational and cultural organisations to attract new audiences by introducing the latest technologies such as XR, AR, VR, immersive and digital technologies. We also address important social issues, such as countering Russian propaganda, increasing media literacy, preserving cultural heritage, and providing inclusive access to cultural products for a wider audience. We have held more than 200 interactive exhibitions in Ukraine and abroad on Chornobyl and countering propaganda and developed our own technological solution - a mobile application for holding our own exhibitions on various topics that can be implemented by both cultural and educational institutions and NGOs. Within the application, you can place text materials, animated paintings, 360 panoramas, 3D models with the ability to place them on the floor or table through augmented reality, audio materials, etc. We are currently looking for international partners (locations and institutions) to host an exhibition on countering Russian propaganda. This exhibition was presented at the end of April 2023 in the lobby of the Zoloti Vorota metro station in Kyiv. More than 8 TV stories were shown about it and more than 20 news items were published. Now we have more than 150 partners from Ukraine to hold it in the regions. To do this, all you need to do is print out the posters and install the app. Through the app, you can learn about the principles of propaganda, put an occupier's tank burned in Kyiv region on the floor, use the portal to find yourself in a destroyed apartment in Borodyanka, see military equipment in the reactor hall of the Zaporizhzhia NPP, or find yourself near a destroyed house a minute after it was shelled with bombs with the inscription "For Peace". This autumn, we want to develop and hold an exhibition dedicated to Ukrainian culture and history in Europe to promote understanding of the common history and values of Ukraine and Europe, as well as to continue the support of Ukraine and Ukrainians by Europeans, which is extremely important due to war fatigue.Cultural and Artistic Charitable Foundation "Kyiv-Classic"

The "Sounds of Chornobyl" is a cultural and social music project in which Ukrainian and international artists recorded an album on the theme of Chornobyl. All compositions are united by the Sounds of Chornobyl audio library, a collection of sounds recorded by Ukrainian media artist and author of the ARTEFACT project Valerii Korshunov back in 2018, which was the beginning of the project. Each composition of "Sounds of Chornobyl" is based on sounds typical of the Exclusion Zone: the crack of a dosimeter, the squeak of a viewing wheel, the noise of a red forest, echoes, the roar of the current, and even sounds from inside the Chornobyl NPP. As part of the project, we are creating audiovisual products with added 3D graphics, developing an immersive exhibition to be held in Ukraine and abroad, a VR project, an interactive exhibition, an audiovisual performance, and a concert project with Ukrainian and international musicians, which was planned to take place in autumn 2022.Khvylia Records

Our organisation has been developing the potential of young people in Dobropillia and Donetsk and Luhansk regions for over 10 years. In 2015, we established the first youth centre and later a children's centre. Before the full-scale invasion began, we created our own community centre together with other NGOs in the city https://repost.org.ua. Since 2012, we have been training young people and running the Volunteer School, and since 2016 we have been partners with the British Council in the Active Citizens programme in Donetsk Oblast, administering youth projects and training through our own facilitators. In this particular programme, much attention is paid to young people from vulnerable groups. Our "students" have implemented about 70 social projects and many of them have started NGOs and started helping to develop civil society and their own communities. Since Dobropillia is a small town, there has always been a problem with unbiased media, so we managed to create our own website with the support of the ABO agency https://dobronews.city , which is still working, but with less frequency. We also deal with environmental issues in mining regions and are members of the platform for the fair transformation of the coal industry https://justtransition.org.ua. We have installed an air monitoring system in Dobropillya, which is still in operation. Another important area of our organisation's activity is community development through culture, we have held a large number of events from workshops to festivals, and last year we created an artistic residence in Bakhmut, which has unfortunately already been destroyed https://thinredline.com.ua. Some of the works were rescued and transported to Berlin. After the start of the full-scale invasion, part of our team was evacuated to different regions and countries, while the rest stayed in Dobropillya, where we set up a humanitarian headquarters. Currently, we are coordinating a network of humanitarian headquarters in the mining towns of Donetsk Oblast, with six other NGOs. Part of the team works in Odesa, where they also help IDPs and local residents from Mykolaiv Oblast to survive this difficult fate.Pridneprovskiy barvinok

Prior to the outbreak of full-scale war, the Dnipro Centre for Contemporary Culture (DCCC) operated as a cultural centre focused on international cooperation and working with the local context. It hosted exhibitions, festivals, educational programmes, artist residencies, and art and urban projects. On 24 February, the DCCC temporarily ceased operations, and in March it turned into a social hub for local residents and internally displaced persons. Since then, we have been organising events that promote communication between different communities in the city and the integration of IDPs, support Ukrainian artists, and provide a space for exploring and understanding Ukrainian culture and identity. In 2023, we plan to launch a new programme, DCCC: We Work. It will combine several areas and will be aimed at restoring cultural practices in Dnipro and the surrounding regions. The project's mission is to support and intensify the cultural activities of the communities of Dnipro, surrounding cities and IDPs. Aware of the importance of cultural development even in wartime, DCCC resumes its own cultural and artistic activities and provides opportunities for other initiatives or individuals to implement their own projects."Centre of Culture and Leisure" of the Tsarychanka Village Council

The Detali formation has organised about 30 events since 2017. The vast majority of them took place in industrial locations in Ivano-Frankivsk. We started with raves in their classic form: factory premises, exceptionally high-quality audio systems and professional audio engineers, non-trivial lighting projects, selected artists and crowds of visitors, from 700 to 1000 people. We achieved such attendance by paying special attention to security and face control. Since the beginning of the project, we have made it a rule not to repeat locations and choose places where no one has ever held anything before. So we held each event in a new place and prepared it from scratch for just one event. In 2019, we launched the Detalisation festival, which added a significant artistic component to its content. The festival took place on 3 dance floors and included more than a dozen expositions on the territory of the plant, which we had been preparing for two months. It also stretched over time, lasting 27 hours non-stop. In 2020, the festival did not take place due to the pandemic, and we launched the online series "In Detail", which had an educational vector: discussions, lectures and workshops related to the history, culture of electronic music and nightlife. In 2021, we managed to hold a large-scale festival again, spread over 4 dance floors, 15 art zones, and lasting 30 hours. We held showcases in the following clubs: Kultura Zvuka (Kharkiv), Closer (Kyiv), Black market (Vienna), Spatif (Warsaw), Secta Selecta (Krakow). We organised a joint festival with the Fantazery artistic community on Drahobrat. We also collaborated with such formations as Capsule, Materia and twice with Rhythm Buro. SOUND OF THE RESIDENTS Detali is, at its core, a flexible musical machine. We have never limited ourselves to genres and have been enlightening in our sound, ranging from ambient to techno, downtempo to trance, house or broken rhythms and all their subgenres. For 6 years of activity, the promo group's family of residents has become a particularly valuable asset: LAWRIN, MA-GOOCH, ROMAN KAPIY, MAKS YOS, OLES, RUSTAM, HAZE. The sound of each of them is developing in its own direction, but everyone is able to be flexible and try something new, find and combine similarities in different styles of music. Over the past few years, a certain musical vector has been formed that we have been following together: deep, trap music, emotionally coloured, with a progressive sound history and a slight taste of industriality. Emotionally, we broadcast the feelings and sounds of space, parallel worlds, at the same time old-school and relevant, trance-hypnotic and therapeutic for the soul.Asortymentna kimnata

Our team was formed in 2018 after working together on the AIR Gogol Fest contemporary art festival in Vinnytsia. As an initiative group, we organised art events, and after the festival, we realised the need to unite and work together. So in early 2019, we opened a non-governmental organisation whose main goal is to develop and promote contemporary art in Vinnytsia, as well as support local artists. Six months later, we launched our own art festival, Ticket to the SUN. In 2020, during the pandemic, they opened the PICH art space. After the full-scale invasion, they teamed up with the artistic community in Vinnytsia to continue their cultural activities during the war. The artistic association PLAI was founded in 2019. Until February 2022, they lived and worked in Vinnytsia. The main activity is the creation of cultural and artistic projects, promotion of contemporary Ukrainian art and support for artists. The PLAI team includes: Oleksandra Venslavovska, head of the organisation and cultural manager; Volodymyr Podolian, deputy head, project manager; Oleksandr Shcherba, member of the organisation, art director of the PICH cultural space; Iryna Babenko, communications and SMM manager of the organisation's projects. Before the full-scale invasion, they were engaged in cultural activities at the city and national level. We support young artists and invite national art projects to Vinnytsia. We work on popularising and promoting Ukrainian author's content and contemporary art, especially as part of large-scale festival events where we attract a wide audience of visitors. We strive to create a cultural, informational and educational space in the city so that Ukrainian identity is not a question, but a priority. Especially in times of war, when there is a clear understanding that the struggle is not for administrative borders, but for our culture, language, identity and identification of Ukrainians.NGO "Art Oborona"

Charitable FoundationCharity organisation Mykola Babak Foundation
The Mykola Babak Foundation is a charitable organisation established in 2017. The Foundation's mission is to preserve, present and promote the cultural heritage and contemporary art of Ukraine. Since its inception, the Foundation has participated in international exhibition projects featuring Ukrainian and foreign artists. The Foundation has a long history of cooperation with the Cherkasy Regional Art Museum, with which it signed a cooperation agreement in 2020. As part of the agreement, the Foundation transferred several collections to the Museum's collection: a collection of folk icons of the Middle Dnipro region of the late 18th-20th centuries, a collection of 20th-century folk paintings, a collection of 20th-century pottery, and other artefacts. A major jointly implemented project was the Collection of Contemporary Art of Ukraine, which was collected by the Foundation's Director General Mykola Babak and donated to the Museum. The Collection presents 268 best works by 168 contemporary artists from all regions of Ukraine, which is the first state collection of contemporary art of museum level. The wide presentation of the Collection was postponed due to the war. Russia's large-scale military aggression against Ukraine dramatically changed the Foundation's activities and the life of the whole country. In the first days of the war, the Foundation posted an official statement condemning the war on its website and social media. After that, the Foundation was forced to look for ways to preserve its collections of more than 10,000 artefacts. Thanks to a grant from the Prince Klaus Foundation (Netherlands), it was able to carry out a set of measures that made it possible to protect unique items of Ukrainian cultural heritage from destruction. At the end of spring 2022, the work on the preservation of the collections was completed and the Foundation decided to hold events in support of the Ukrainian army. In June-July 2022, the Artification charity project was implemented, which was designed to help wounded soldiers undergoing inpatient treatment in medical institutions in Cherkasy by conducting excursions. In October 2022, the Foundation began cooperating with the NGO Technopark Centre for Medical Innovation to perform logistics functions for the supply of medical products to the military: individual first aid kits, medical backpacks, evacuation slings and soft frameless stretchers. Since February 2023, the Foundation has been cooperating with the NGO Medicine in Action to supply humanitarian aid to IDPs in Cherkasy region in the form of food packages consisting of non-perishable food. Over the course of the cooperation, the Foundation has provided more than 20 tonnes of food parcels."Vilnodumni. Ne khustka"
